Woodbury Town Board rejected all refuse collection bids and will re-advertise the contract.
misc · Meeting of October 7, 2026
NY WOODBURY — Woodbury Town Board rejected all refuse collection bids and will re-advertise the contract. Supervisor Jacqueline Hernandez and Councilmembers Brandon Calore and Vernick Alvarez voted unanimously to reject the two bids received on September 21, 2026, finding the original specifications omitted material requirements for the three-year contract. The revised bid will require clearer service coverage definitions, municipal site identification, contractor location preference for Orange County or adjacent areas, continuous service with labor-stoppage remedies, and a fuel-adjustment formula tied to diesel pricing.
New specifications will be posted by October 13, 2026, with bid opening set for November 2, 2026, at 2 p.m.
